Abstract:

The high seismic areas may be susceptible to the severe damage in structures. In the seismic design shear walls act as major earthquake resisting members. Now a day, shear wall in R.C. structure are most popular system to resist lateral load due to earthquake, wind, blast etc. Positioning of shear wall has influence on the overall behavior of the building. For effective and efficient performance of building it is essential to position shear wall in an ideal location. Story drift and lateral displacements are the critical issues in seismic design of buildings. This paper presents the response of building with different positioning of shear wall by Equivalent Static Method using IS 1893 (PART – I): 2002. Six different Model of G+8 RCC building, one with no shear wall and other five models with different position of shear wall which is subjected to earthquake load in zone V has been studied. Test results including story drift and story deflections are presented and get effective lateral load resisting system.

Abstract:

Varanasi is an oldest living city of world situated at the bank of holy river Ganga. As per 2011 census, 56.56% population of Varanasi districts lives in rural areas. The sustainable development of these villages is the prime factor towards the economic growth of the nation. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) is a landmark legislation of Government of India in this direction. The primary objective of the MNREGA is to strengthen the rural livelihood by creating durable assets and by providing employment of 100 days in a financial year to the villagers as an unskilled manual worker. The present paper is an attempt to evaluate the significance of MNREGA in improving rural sanitation status of Varanasi District of Uttar Pradesh. Data collected from the web site of MNREGA. The trend analysis of database was performed on year to year basis with percentage increase or decrease in the completion of rural sanitation work in each block of Varanasi District. The study reveled that out of total 8390 sanitation works completed in Varanasi District during 2012-2017. The rate of works completion was found higher (66.41%) in financial year 2013-14. Two blocks of Varanasi district i.e. Harahua and Baragaon shown above 50% works completion. These sanitation works accelerated the sanitation coverage in rural areas through providing privacy and dignity particularly to women. Therefore it can be concluded that MNREGA can be an important step towards development of open defecation free rural India in addition to poverty alleviation.

Abstract:

The process of social transformation today generates many serious problems and contradictions. The emerging pattern of country town nexus or relationship constitutes one such aspect. Any discussion on social stratification and change and focus on social process of empowerment and de-empowerment remains incomplete till one looks at the social reality of rural and urban, their linkages - whether it be the social tension between rural and urban or symbiotic relationship between rural and urban or else as rural – urban continuum or nexus.

The global market expanded positively and intended to promote a positive image.  In today's era, planning and analyzing of an organization has become a vital part. A proper flow of information is important for a smooth functioning of a company. To create a balance in the overall management, one has to go with the litmus paper named Corporate Communication'. It's an integral part which enhances the confidence of employee and investor at the same time.

National Thermal Power Corporation (commonly known as NTPC) has always focused on sustainable growth which is reflected in its upgraded efficiency, advanced market reputation and a sound financial condition with a focus always on rural development. Since the beginning, this company has always fulfilled its societal responsibilities especially towards the environment and the people. The township concept has improved the environment, labour standards and human rights. Corporate Social Responsibilities is one of the many channels through which they have shown the changes since the initiation of rural urban linkages.

This research paper will basically look into the different roles played by corporate communication on two oldest NTPC Projects in Purvanchal area of Uttar Pradesh. The study will try to showcase the comparison between the two projects in respect of socio- economic development, work culture and bit of CSR.

Case study would be the research design. The researcher would analyse the situation of both the places since its inception. The case study analyses would be done on the basis of infrastructure, internal and external audience, CSR, economic advancement and PR policy.

IJTRS-V3-I3-015 :- SIGNIFICANCE OF NEUROMARKETING ON CONSUMER BUYING BEHAVIOR
Author: Dr. Susheela Devi B Devaru
Organisation: Associate Professor, Department of MBA,Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Mallathally, Bangalore, India

Abstract:

In today’s vibrant business surroundings, it is no longer feasible to keep on practicing the same marketing tools to acquire an edge over the competitors. It is thus necessary to integrate other disciplines along with marketing to take a leap forward to understand consumers better. Neuromarketing is a fairly new discipline that combines behavioural psychology, economics and consumer neuroscience. Neuromarketing is an emerging field that bridges the study of consumer behavior with neuroscience. Neuromarketing has attracted increasing attention, but critical aspects of it remain underexplored, including what exactly it is or includes, and how it is used in practice. Neuromarketing, as currently practiced, is heterogeneous, as companies are offering a variety of technologies. Consumers are complex, diverse in nature and neuromarketing can provide better insights about their purchase intentions. The idea that consumers are rational decision makers, who carefully consider options when making a decision about a certain phenomenon, will soon phase out! Believe it or not. In a bid to better understand the consumer, a myriad of economists still waste their precious time on “not-so-deep” modifications and elaborations of mainstream economic models, some of which are barely “shallow”. Businesses need to fully understand the consumer decision making processes for them to thrive in the current competitive business environment which is now a global village. The main aim of this paper is to highlight the role and importance of neuromarketing research techniques in the evolution of neurosciences and to explain how these techniques are used in market research. One of the most important challenges for companies who offer neuromarketing services is to stick to ethical principles when performing the investigations. This paper also looks at the human brain from a neuromarketing perspective, to shade more light on our quest to better understand the consumer brain. Neuromarketing was born by combining two fields: Consumer behavior and Neuroscience. Thus in beam of such remarkable potentiality of Neuroscience integrated with consumer behaviour, this paper is an attempt to understand the significance of neuromarketing on consumer buying behaviour. This article aims to help in understanding this new mixture of these sciences by explaining tech-niques that are used in this area and showing their application.
