All other sources of energy on earth are dwarf in comparison to the sunlight that strikes the earth each day. The energy used for various purposes whereas the solar dryers have so many advantages in the agriculture and food. But like everything solar dryer has its own pros and cons. Some major drawbacks of using a solar dryer are that it can only be used during the daytime, so the drying of food crops during nighttime is very difficult and the initial setup cost may be high. This problem can be solved by integrating thermal storage devices in solar dryers. These thermal storage devices are used to store heat when no sunlight is available. One of the most efficient way of storing thermal energy is using Phase Change Material in solar dryer. These materials absorb, store, and release heat energy during a phase transition either from solid to liquid or liquid to solid at a constant temperature.
